On March 31, 2024, the Kajang Childhood Cancer Fund organised their first “Shave Hair, Show Care” head shaving event at AM & PM Hair Studio And Academy Sdn Bhd. There were 20 heroes that day who attended and willing to shave their head to raise fund for the children who are battling with cancer. They have raised RM38,000 in total. The event was successfully held thanks to the Oraganising Chairperson- Lion Simon Tan.
On December 16, 2023, Kajang Childhood Cancer Fund donated 100 pieces of school bags to 100 Childhood Cancer Heroes to support them for the coming new school opening. The handover ceremony was done this afternoon at the Community Health Carnival organised by Region 8 & 9 at The Curve Mutiara Damansara. The project was co-organised with KIDS (Kesatuan Ibubapa Dan Anak-Anak Kanser) and coordinated by District Chairperson Gregory. The Lions Club of Kajang would like to thank Lion Roy Wong, a member of the Lions Club of Kajang for being kind enough to donate the bags to all the heroes that are battling with childhood cancer.
On October 25, 2023, the Lions visited Hospital Tunku Azizah (HKL) to hand over urgent supplies for the patients that are battling with childhood cancer. The urgent supplies that were handed over by the Lions included: 20 boxes of Pediasure Milk Powder (600gm/box), 15 packs of Pampers - all sizes, 30 bottles of Difflam Gargle Mouth Wash (100ml./btl.) & 100 pieces of Towels 20" x 40". This project is attended by GET Simon Tan, GST Raymin Yew, and RC Vanessa Tan.
On September 23, 2023, the first “Adopt Book Give Hope” event was held at Citta Mall by the Lions Club of Kajang. The aim of this event is to raise funds for the children who are diagnosed with cancer in Malaysia. The money raised from the books will go into the Kajang Childhood Cancer Fund, which is managed by the Lions Club of Kajang.
On May 27, 2023, the Lions Club of Kajang held a meaningful event named “Aquaria Fun Party". In this event, 50 Childhood Cancer Heroes and their siblings and guardians were invited to visit Aquaria KLCC followed by a lunch meal at Kenny Rogers Restaurant. The Lions also celebrated birthdays for the heroes and handed birthday presents and goodie bags to them. This event was in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House and KIDS (Kesatuan Ibu Bapa Dan Kanak-kanak Kanser), with the support of MYCEB (Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, under the Ministry of Tourism).
