What is Hair For Smile?
Hair for Smile is a Childhood Cancer Fund headshaving project being held by the Kajang Childhood Cancer Fund all year long. The fund is managed by Lions Club of Kajang in Malaysia. The common side effects of children undergoing cancer treatment are hair loss in a very short-term, which may affect the confidence of the children with cancer. In Kajang Childhood Cancer Fund, we provide services and assistances to support children with cancer and their family in the journey of treatment. We are making ourselves BALD to help children with cancer and make them understand that it is OK to be BALD. Commit yourself to be part of us and tell children with cancer WE ARE WITH YOU.
The main goals of shaving bald are:
- To raise funds for children who were diagnosed with cancer.
- Create awareness of childhood cancer in Malaysia.
- Stand side by side with children and their families while they are fighting with cancer.
- Build a community to show support for every child who is diagnosed with cancer and their families.
